News & Stories

Help has proudly served people with disability for over 55 years and remains committed to continuing this support into the future. Since joining the IntoWork Group over 12 months ago, we have reviewed our operations and reaffirmed our commitment to delivering valued Employment Services to people with disability alongside our Social Enterprises.

What’s changing?

Help has provided group programs for participants at several Brisbane sites, known as Hub programs. These small on-site group activities are now being transitioned to more flexible, community-based group or one-on-one services, aligning with more contemporary NDIS practices.

Participants have the option to continue receiving support through Interact Australia, another organisation within the IntoWork Group that offers similar supports and has organisational values aligned with our own, or another register NDIS provider.

Help is dedicated to supporting each individual’s choice, though we’ll no longer directly deliver these Hub services.

Help will continue to operate Supported Independent Living properties, with the support component delivered by NDIS-registered providers, including Interact Australia.

Strengthening our foundation for future growth

Employment Services and Social Enterprises will remain a core focus for Help, with plans for future growth. This builds on our strong history of providing employment opportunities and support for people with disability, as well as partnering with organisations through commercial services that drive social impact and inclusive hiring.

The Help Board and Team understand that changes like this can be challenging. We remain committed to ongoing, transparent communication and support to participants and their families throughout this transition.

Who is Interact Australia?

Interact Australia, is a values-led, disability organisation from the IntoWork Group and is Help’s nominated transition partner as we close our current services.

One of the largest not-for-profit NDIS providers in Australia, Interact Australia is an innovative Community and Care Services national provider, and additionally offers a number of aligned services to their core NDIS outputs including:

  • Motor vehicle and workplace accident services (NIISQ-QLD, iCare – NSW, TAC-VIC)
  • Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA)
  • Work Cover Queensland and Work Safe Victoria
  • Department of Family, Fairness and Housing (VIC)
  • Young Care at Home Grants
  • Brokered services in Aged Care and Disability Support

We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support and trust of our customers, partners, and staff. We look forward to building a brighter future together to continue helping people with disability lead fulfilling and independent lives.
